Yesterday, I had the great pleasure of appearing on Tarot Talk, an internet radio show hosted by my two friends, Raven and Georgie. I really enjoy their interviews because they are Tarot readers themselves, and consequently, ask the best questions.

In this interview, we covered the Viking Runes and talked about the interviews that I do here on my blog.

If you’ve never had your cards read – and you’re curious about how it goes, listen to the second half of the program in particular.  That’s when I do free mini-readings. Usually, in this type of situation I’m supposed to turn over only one card, but I actually give each caller a full 10-card Celtic Cross so I can be as thorough as possible in a short time.

Speaking of Free Readings, I was never able to connect with the people whose names I drew out of the hat for a free half hour reading with me in April.  Consequently, I’m giving away TWO free readings in May, so watch your inbox.  The subject line of the winning emails will say: “NOT SPAM! You Won a Free Tarot Reading with LucyD of OnlyTarot.net

GOOD LUCK!! and enjoy the show below. Just press on the little triangle to “play”:

Mini-Tarot Readings Online — Free Will, Time and Reality

Last Sunday my friend, Peggie Arvidson, of “Awaken Your Soul This Week” interviewed me live, online. It was really a great hour and I did several readings during the course of our conversation.  Take a little time out to listen to my thoughts on free will, the nature of time and reality itself!

And just a side note, at the end of the show I gave an incorrect web address for Aeclectic Tarot.  The correct address is http://aeclectic.net

Also, a final note to new readers looking to practice: consider joining the American Tarot Association. There, you can practice on strangers — a most important part of learning, yet the one most difficult to arrange. Listen to my interview for more information on how to become a tarot reader.

In the Metaphysician’s Tool Kit

You may have read many posts here and elsewhere explaining why having your Tarot cards read can be so helpful. You may or may not believe the testimonials that are published on that particular page. But what you don’t see, are the email responses I get every time I publish a testimonial. Members of this tribe write to me all the time, and they get very excited when someone benefits greatly from a reading.

It seems like magic! The situation saved just in time! It defies logic! A terrible ending avoided!

But it all boils down to this:

When you have your cards read, you see the hidden map.

You can use that map to make good decisions.

Then you watch those decisions change your future.

It doesn’t matter if you’re trying to solve a problem, trying to understand a quandary you’re in, trying to figure out the past – the formula is always the same.

The first line reveals the secret, and the secret is YOUR script. It belongs to you alone, but have you read it? Can you see it? Did you know you’re writing it as you read this post? If your answer is, “no,” that’s not the end of the story. You CAN get a look at it. Your script is a living document.

Once you see what it’s saying, you can change it by making better, different or unexpected choices. And when you do that, your script changes instantly – and your future along with it.

The cards, when read for you by an experienced professional, do what seems like the hardest part: they see the unseen. If truth be told, that’s the easy part. The hard part is making that decision for change, and sticking to it.

It’s human nature to think that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence. Everyone knows someone who needs a hand getting out of the ditch they fell into on their headlong drive to get there. I’ve tripped and fallen into that ditch quite a bit – and I’m still not immune, because I’m still a human being.

Getting my cards read on a regular basis had really shown me the patterns in my script, the favorite ways I have to deal with them, and the quick and elegant changes I can affect that make a huge difference down the road.

A reading is a tool.

It works when used properly.

Like all tools, it can make your life easier.
